DiaMon - KDE Web Dialer and Monitor

DiaMon observes the character-device /dev/isdninfo and the file /proc/net/dev to find out if you are online and to lookup your ISDN load. You need to have a working ISDN system, were you can dial for example with "isdnctrl dial ippp0".
The picture on the right side shows DiaMon (the red thing). The black bars are incoming bytes, the white ones outgoing bytes. The popup gives you information about all configured providers and tells you how long you are online.

Install DiaMon

Download

(as root)

Start DiaMon

Click at the Taskbar of the Panel - Add - Applet - DiaMon. Configuration

General Settings

Colors for offline, dialing and online
The Size is also directly tunable using the middle mouse button
Scale: so much bytes per second correspond to the height of the DiaMon window (horizontal panel)
Refresh time: every 1000 milliseconds the files are read and a new bar is painted
New Provider: creates a new tab to configure a new Provider

Provider specific Settings

Device: the device that dials the number of this provider
Connect Command: command line to dial
Disconnect Command: command line to hangup
Incoming Transfer: color for incoming bytes
Outgoing Transfer: color for outging bytes
